Last View from Seattle

This is the very last shot I took before the plane took off. I guess I got lucky.

DJ Slava at Republiq

These have been taken during DJ Slava’s performance at the Republiq Club from Seattle, on June 24th 2011. It was a solid performance  given to the crowd by these two young and amazing DJs.

I would like to thank both DJ Slave and the Republiq Club for allowing me to shoot the performance. It has been a pleasure to cooperate with them for this.

You can check out DJ Slava’s personal website here and the Republiq’s page here. For those interested in more shots, please contact me.

Capitol Hill

Before I start post-processing a friend’s gig, I’ll post the very last shots from Seattle. Capitol Hill is very beautiful, filled with gorgeous houses and lots of things to do. I really enjoyed my afternoon there and, even though that donut thing looks weird, it’s actually pretty cool!

Columbia Tower Panoramas

And here are the panoramas from both the Starbucks and the Observation Deck in the Columbia Tower. There’s even a vertical one for once. Enjoy!

Columbia Tower – Observation Deck

A nice Starbucks lady told us about the Tower’s observation deck on the 73rd floor (!!) that charged only $5 and I jumped on the occasion. Once again, I wish I had the 8mm already, it would have been amazing. But these are too!

Columbia Tower – The Starbucks View

We first found out about the Columbia Tower Starbucks while we were taking the water taxi to Alki. So we got all excited and decided to take a look. We had no idea on which floor it was, no idea if there was anything else in the tower, so.. fun! Imagine, paying for good coffee and an amazing view at the same time. This must be the world’s best Starbucks location ever. Take a look at these while some good old panoramas are on their way!

Nothing much to say about these shots. It was simply a very nice day.

Seattle Public Library

Here are a few shots from Seattle’s Public Library. I wish I had a wider lens when we went there but I’m not too displeased with what I came up that day.

Pike Place Market

That’s when I realize I actually love post-processing. I haven’t really had the time to touch my camera since we got back from Seattle, but as you’ve seen, I had Lightroom and CS5 burning up a little. And two-three weeks after our trip, going through all those places we’ve visited is just lovely. You know I only post on the blog photographs I think are worthwhile, but those you’ll never see are as important and interesting to me as the ones I post here. God I love post-processing.

Skyline By Night

A lot of crap happened that day. Photographic crap. I forgot the tripod’s head, my remote, some other things. I have to admit that I was getting tired a bit. But this one still turned out great. What do you think?
