I always carry my camera around when I travel, especially once on the plane. So here’s a small selection of what I shot during my last couple of trips.

Shanghai trip
During my last business trip to Asia, I went to Honk-Kong, Shanghai, and Zhengzhou. Our stay in Zhengzhou was shorter than a blink of an eye but we managed to stay two days in Shanghai. Our colleagues there were amazingly welcoming and warm and I really had a great time with them. We walked around a bit and discovered a few restaurants (like Lu Bo Lang), temples (especially Jing’an in the heart of the city) and a few neighborhoods.
Here’s a selection of my favorite shots. Enjoy!
Hong-Kong trips
I had the chance of going to Hong-Kong twice in under 3 months this year with work and each time was absolutely great. I spent some time preparing what I could see with the limited time I had outside of working hours and in fact ended up visiting quite a lot of things! Causeway Bay, the Peak, Man Mo temple, Big Buddha temple, Ten Thousand Buddhas temple, Repulse Bay, Mong Kok, Tsim Sha Tsui, the Harbor, Sai Wan Ho, Sha Tin, aaaand I’m probably forgetting stuff.
I also wanted to do some shopping, namely photography shopping, especially in Mong Kok. I have dragged my colleagues to all sorts of second hand stores and mini malls and what not, all of them found on other blogs. And I am pretty sure that if I wasn’t looking for something so specific (Minolta MD and Bronica PG/GS1Â wishlist), I would have bought stuff, but it wasn’t meant to be. Unfortunately. I might have to look around Singapore and/or Japan next time.
I have shot around 3k, especially during the first trip, I was overwhelmed by everything and anything and wanted to keep everything. I, as usual, selected around 2-3% of it for Internet purposes, and kept whatever was interesting enough for souvenirs.
Overall, I had an amazing time, and I really think Hong-Kong is a very nice first step into Asia when you don’t know what to expect. It’s both busy and relaxing at the same time (weird, huh?). You’ll love it.
So here’s a slideshow for you guys to enjoy 🙂
